Artist's  Statement

Looking at my paintings one might ask. How did the artist do that. Where did he get his ideas?   I enjoy creating art that draws the art critic into my painting and encourages their creative thinking.

Like a traditional artist my paintings consists of a canvas that has hundreds and hundreds of actual hand brush strokes. When painting I use a variety of tools  that are at times difficult to use but are available to me when creating my style of art.

My passion for architecture design and geometric forms have always  fascinated me. They give me a fantastic reservoir of inspiration that enables  me to create distinctive pieces of art.  I am always focused as to what is around me and spontaneously thinking how I might use my imagination and skills to create something that is extraordinary from what I see.

Sometimes my canvas is like the universe. I vision a broad spectrum of  images.   I am always thinking for ways to change the ordinary into something that has my creative identity associated with it .

Art to me is  freedom to freely use my creativity without fear of judgement as it broadens my artistic thinking. Art provides a passageway for creativity and inspires my approach as to how I may view and create it. Also, the ability to connect with people , nature and the forms that surround me will always be some factor in my art and will continue to challenge my way of thinking.
